As I conclude my 17-year journey with Amity School of Communication, Amity University (Lucknow Campus), I do so with a deep sense of gratitude, pride, and quiet purpose. I formally relinquished my responsibilities on April 6, 2026.
What has been most fulfilling is witnessing the journeys of our students—many of whom today hold significant positions across the media and communication landscape, in India and beyond. Their achievements remain the most meaningful testament to the institution’s strength and the collective effort behind it. Staying connected with them, as they continue to shape the industry, will always be a source of pride and joy.
I extend my sincere thanks to friends and colleagues from the industry who generously shared their time and expertise through regular engagements—both offline and online—creating meaningful opportunities for our students.
Over the years, it has been a privilege to contribute to building a strong academic ecosystem grounded in professional rigour and industry relevance.
This journey has been, above all, one of institution-building—anchored in academic leadership and sustained by collective effort.
I take satisfaction in initiatives like the University Digital Club (UDC), which began at the Lucknow campus and gradually expanded across Amity campuses. Events such as Radio Awards, film festivals, documentary projects, and academic collaborations with organisations including UNICEF, Oxfam, PHIA Foundation, Climate Trends, and Save the Children will remain defining milestones in the school’s journey. The monthly news magazine Expressions stood out as a distinctive platform—one that not only nurtured talent but also enabled many contributors to find their place in the industry.
I remain deeply grateful to Hon’ble Chairman Dr. Aseem Chauhan for his unwavering support and the respect he consistently extends to academicians. I also carry with me invaluable lessons from Late Major General (Retd.) K.K. Ohri, whose discipline and clarity of thought left a lasting imprint on my approach to administration and academics. The leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Dhaneshwar, especially during the challenging Covid period, and the guidance of Wg Cdr (Dr.) Anil K. Tiwari, Dy Pro VC, have been equally enriching.
As I move on, I hope the institution continues to uphold its character and vision, growing stronger with time. While leadership may change, the integrity and purpose of an institution must endure. At the same time, it is important to acknowledge that sustaining this vision for current students requires renewed focus and commitment.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to engaging with academia, media, and communication in new and meaningful ways.
